Precast Sales/Project Manager Job Description
$24.00 - $30.00 DOE

The experienced Sales/Estimator and Project Manager manages key client projects in a wide range of commercial, residential and agricultural precast construction projects: insulated and non-insulated tilt-up wall panels; prestressed and conventionally reinforced concrete floors and roofs; box beam bridge girders; custom “one-of” precast projects.

Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of project.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients to provide detailed project estimates/bids.
Ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, budget and timeline.

Prepare regular progress reports. He or she will help maintain the project schedule, communicate with subcontractors, transition jobs in and out of engineering, and assist in materials selections. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.

Familiar with a variety of the precast concrete field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Lead and direct the work of other team members. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Project manager responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
• Develop detailed project estimates and budgets by utilizing engineering and architectural plans, and client concepts when necessary.
• Assist Bookkeeper in setting up job file, tracking job deposits, invoicing and material costs, creating Change Orders.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation. Facilitate product freight and installation, either in-house or via subcontractor.
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
• Order and monitor project supplies and materials ahead of the production schedule.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
• Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

Project manager requirements:

• Proven working experience in project management, including developing and tracking budgets.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with coworkers, clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Leadership – team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Residential and/or commercial construction background preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
